Shout out to neighbor Ron Roselli who has breathed a little life into February's initiative dubbing it "Edgewater Corks for a Cause." Because we're a family friendly organization, we're not going to "encourage" any specific behaviors, but suffice it to say we'd be happy to take those corks off your hands should you gather together with some friends for a Zoom toast!

Our "cause" in this case is something we all rely on - our environment. Collecting corks and forwarding them to manufacturer ReCORK (see link below) is one way to keep the circular economy going and this type of economy is one important way to keep our environment going.

It was announced in December 2020 that the City of Cleveland and Cleveland Neighborhood Progress are launching Circular Cleveland, an initiative funded by a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant. Other North American cities creating a circular economy through this same grant program are Charlotte, Toronto, Phoenix, Austin and New York City, so we're in good company. Are you curious about how circular economies work or about existing businesses in the Cleveland area, like Rust Belt Riders, that already operate in this fashion? Check out the link below to a recent posting by Sustainable Cleveland.

Check back here for updates on our collection efforts and thanks in advance for doing your part to support our cause!
